Custom wild dog painting done by local Zambian artist Image
This painting was done by David Mweetwa. He was born in the southern province of Zambia in 1995, then moved to the Eastern province in 2006 and grew up surrounded by wildlife in the town of Mfuwe, bordering South Luangwa National Park. David, who is a trained secondary school teacher, is currently working in the tourism industry while training to become a safari guide.

This beautiful one of a kind painting depicts two African wild dogs, playing in front of the famous baobab tree in the beautiful South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. The wild dog, one of Africa’s most endangered carnivores, has been eliminated from most of the countries it once occurred in. Zambia is one of six countries with viable populations of this species, with one of the largest populations found in the Luangwa Valley.
